Possessing a faculty recognized by the Carnegie Foundation as a leader in cognitive-affective learning, Oxford College of Emory now seeks to examine in a systematic way the pedagogies that work to enhance student learning. To this end in the spring of 2008, Oxford established the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE). Conceptualized by Oxford faculty and administrators during the strategic planning process for the college, the CAE was founded to provide support of the many efforts of the faculty and the administration to render Oxford College the national model for student-centered learning in a two-year Liberal Arts Intensive (LAI) college.
